Mission: Klingons on the Starboard Bow
Location: USS Endeavour - Bridge

As the turbolift doors slid open to permit Byrne, Jenarian and Hawke to enter, Benjamin strode quickly and purposefully towards the centre chair, and his first officer who was occupying it. "Report!" he ordered, his body language and his tone clearly very tense, as he sought confirmation that the facility had been destroyed.

"Captain, The facility has been destroyed, as well as a Klingon BoP disabled. No casualties, all systems online and shields at full," Gaius said, stopping short at making a joke about the paint not having a scratch.

Gable looked bemused as the thunderous face of Captain Byrne bore down on his station. He enlarged the before and after scans of the target site to confirm Commander Ra-Xialli's report that they had indeed successfully targeted the compound and destroyed it. He couldn't help but flick helpless glances around the bridge. Jenarian and Hawke were with the Captain and were taking up their stations on the bridge but where was Lieutenant Biggs? Could he even ask?

Instead his tone was monotonous as he added his additional report on to the Captain. "The spread was sufficient to eliminate the present structures. Early bio scans report that there were no survivors."

"Good," the captain answered simply; single-minded as he sat in his command chair. "Set a course for Qo'noS, maximum warp." It occurred to him somewhere in the back of his mind that following his last order, instigating a rapid course change to the Klingon homeworld might put the crew on edge even more than any other order he might have given, so he decided to clarify his intentions with another instruction. "Send a message to the homeworld, and tell them that I want a meeting with the Federation ambassador as soon as we arrive."

Horatio strode purposefully from the turbolift to his station at the helm, tapping the junior helmsman on the shoulder, wordlessly ordering her to vacate. He sat and called up the nav computer, laying in the preset course for Qo'nos and programming for maximum warp. "Course laid in, Captain," he said, his finger hovering over the blinking 'ENGAGE' button.

“The message is en route to the Klingon High Council,” Patok said, as he continued tapping at his console.

For a moment, Benjamin's mind went back to the events that had taken place on the planet, and the death of Lieutenant Biggs, but he quickly forced them aside, to be dealt with later, only allowing a momentary hesitation to show outwardly. "Engage," he ordered, his voice far less the boom that it was when he first came onto the bridge, now that he had had chance to settle in again, and push the emotions back.
