Checking out Security.

Posted on Thu Dec 3rd, 2009 @ 12:03am by Lieutenant JG Charlie Hamilton

Mission: Metronian Diplomacy
Location: Security department.
Timeline: Current

Now that he'd reported the readiness of the Security department to the bridge so that they could get under way, Charlie decided it was time for a manuel inspection.

"KARADIS!" he yelled.

A moment later his Assistant Chief Security Officer popped her head round the door and said "Weren't you the one who said we have a COMM system?"

"I know, but I'm your boss and I can changemy mind and be fickle like that" Charlie replied. Standing up he added "Ok, time for the hands on approach. Let's see what we've got andwhat we need and what needs changing shall we?"

"Oh goody, an unannounced spot check, I love those" Karadis answered, looking very happy at the thought.

They both exited the offices where they were and made for the holding cells. On rounding the corner, the took note that the duty officer was staring into space.

"That bodes well for a start" Charlie said sarcasticaly.

"The duty officer snapped to attention and said "Ensign Koln, Beta shift duty officer sir!"

"Ok Koln, how's the readiness of the cells?" Charlie asked.

"We have eight cells fully functioning Sir, and two still being set up" Koln said in reply.

Charlie closed his eyes "We've set off and all the cells aren't even fully functional yet..."

Karadis made the note, and said "We could just put it down to teething problems."

"Or not as the case maybe. No, I want an explination as to why these cells weren't ready before we left, this is shoddy and unproffesional and I want to know who's responsible" Charlie said.

"Yes Sir" Karadis answered wearily.

Turning on his heels, Charlie left the holding cells and made his way out of the security department and into the ship. He was going to check every nook and cranny of this ship for security leaks, and lack of performance. It hadn't started at all well, not at all....
