Interrogation - Phase 1

Posted on Wed May 12th, 2010 @ 7:32pm by Captain Benjamin Byrne & Lieutenant Commander Hannah Edroski

Mission: Metronian Diplomacy
Location: Obrinkahn Imperium Craft Pehk'than
Timeline: MD22 1730

After being left alone in the sterile cell for over 2 hours, Hannah's solitude was finally interrupted by the reappearance of the alien commander, who strode menacingly towards her cell, stopping short of the force field. He stood there, arms crossed, simply watching for a few minutes, before speaking. "Your ship is carrying grade 8 weapon systems, yet is only as large as a Penth'na. Admit it, you are an agent of our enemies, sent with a mission to infiltrate our space, and cause as much damage as you could!"

She takes deep breaths. The last two and some odd hours had been rather taxing on her,"If I am an agent for the enemy then why would I put my unborn child at risk? I wouldn't. I am four months along. I would never conspire with an enemy of the people!"

"That statement, Madam, is in itself a dual-sided argument," the alien said. "Your reference to 'the people', for instance. Does that mean your own race, which is unknown to us? Does that mean ourselves, the Obrinkahn? Or do you indeed refer elusively to the Arktina?" The Obrinkhan commander, as he had revealed himself to be, seemed to ignore completely the mention of a child. At least, for the moment.

"I refer to a people you do not know of yet. I come from light years away." She says, her hand trying to go to the small round bump on her stomach,"I...I come from a group of people called the United Federation of Planets. We believe in peace. We only outfit our shuttles with weaponry incase there are hostile people out there wishing to hurt us. Otherwise we would be defenceless"

"Why have I never heard of your 'Federation of Planets' before?" the commander snarled. "And why should I believe you stand for peace when your 'shuttles' are equipped with weaponry almost equal to that on some of our own battleships?" With two steps towards her, he grabbed a handful of her hair - the forcefield having been deactivated the moment he started stepping towards it - and moved his face to within inches of hers. "Tell me the truth." This snarl carried even more danger to its tone than the last, even without the firm grip on Hannah's hair.

"That is the truth. We don't even know your people!"She cried out in pain as he grabbed her hair, looking up at him, still trying to read his emotions so maybe she could use those to her advantage.

The commander almost threw the Lieutenant back to the floor, storming away from her towards the entrance to the cell. Stepping over its threshold once again, he nodded to another Obrinkhan, who had this far been out of sight. As the other moved into Hannah's field of vision, it was clear that he was the 'interrogator'. His hands were wrapped in something that looked to be designed to cushion any blows from hurting his hand, whilst inflicting more pain on the victim of whatever punches he might through. The knuckle wrappings were also actually designed to limit the most damage to simply surface wounds, though they wouldn't hurt any less. Hanging from his belt were a few different items of which Hannah was unsure of their purpose, but it was almost certain they wouldn't be anything good.

"We will get the truth out of you somehow," the command said, waiting to give the order to his interrogator to begin.

"I'm already telling the truth!!! The body of people that I am with are explorers. They really mean no harm!" She braced herself to keep from falling, looking at the interrogator with a small swallow. Her pregnant body definitely didn't need this.

"There is no Federation!" the commander suddenly shouted. "My people have travelled further than any other in this region of space, and we have never even heard rumours of a Federation" he practically spat the word out. "Your insistence of sticking to the lie you were told to say by your Arktina masters will not keep you safe. The more truthful information you give us, the less painful your time here will be."

With that, he glanced at the interrogator, before turning his back and leaving the cell completely.

"I am not from this region of space I told you that!! And you dare to hurt my child?" She almost screamed out before being knocked to the floor. It was going to be a hard time of things if she was going to make it out alive.
