Begin personal log, Stardate 65778.5.

I have been pleasantly surprised by my crew at how well they have acclimatised to station life, and even more so at how they have adapted to having to work both closely with, and under the scrutiny of our Tholian... co-workers? Overseers? Observers? Even after two months of having them aboard the station, I'm still not entirely sure what to call them. They have of course by necessity been forced to keep to themselves, in the section of the station that has been dubbed the 'Tholian Enclave' by the junior officers, but they have always been there, ready to jump on the comm. lines the moment we find anything that pertains to the deal I have made this them.

Personally, I wish Starfleet could have-

Commander th'Ralik tells me that they're close to penetrating the first level of data encryption one the station's many databanks, and with our constantly improving translation algorithms, it shouldn't take too much longer after that before we can get a first glimpse into some of the data that station's previous occupants stored there. I know that the Tholians will want to see the data, and that Starfleet will want me to restrict as much of what I send them as the new treaty allows, but I have relegated that task to the temporary intelligence attaché Command has sent me. I'm certain that she regrets coming here to be assigned essentially as the data control floodgates between ourselves and the Tholians, but I think that secretly she enjoys the challenge.
