Location: USS Endeavour, Shuttlebay/Primary Sickbay
Timeline: MD25 1325hrs

As Benjamin stepped out onto the deck plating of the cargobay, he was rubbing his temple with his left hand. The headache he had felt growing over the past few days was still persistent, and when he didn't have something to occupy his mind with, it always came to the forefront as an unwelcome distraction that he found hard to ignore.

Chihiro entered shortly after the commander, she carried in her left hand a med kit. "You ok sir?" She asked seeing him rubbing his head.

"Just a headache," Ben replied, waiving off the doctor's mild concern. The incoming Lieutenant needed it more.

As the physical door of the shuttlebay separating them from the blackness of space opened, Benjamin strained to look for the sign of the poor Lieutenant's shuttle heading over from the Obrinkahn starship, but all he was able to see were the stars of this unfamiliar region of space, and the ship's nacelles framing them. "Byrne to bridge. What is the status of that shuttle?"

"It's moving towards us slowly, sir," came the response. "It looks like the pilot may be having some trouble with the controls, possibly due to her injuries."

"Interface with the shuttle's computer. Issue a full-stop instruction, and beam it directly to shuttlebay one," Benjamin ordered. If the Lieutenant was in as bad shape as she looked on the viewscreen, there was no sense in forcing her to pilot the shuttle into the ship's bay.

As the small craft materialised on the shuttlebay decking, Ben and Chihiro, along with two of the bay staff moved immediately towards the egress hatch. As soon as the two bay workers had it open, the two senior officers were inside, moving towards the cockpit.

Byrne spotted the Lieutenant in her chair immediately, and strode straight over to her. "Lieutenant," he said, trying to look at her eyes. "Are you OK?"

Chihiro flipped open her tricorder and ran it over her. She was making her assessment, however she knew she had to get ehr to sickbay.

"No offense" She looked at the pips on his neck then looks away "No offense Commander, but I am hurting something terrible. Think they broke my arm." She muttered some betazoid curse words and was shaking. She looked very bad off now that they could see her up close. She managed to stand and limp out of the shuttle and stumbled into the poor commanders arms.

Dropping slightly at the surprise of having to support her weight, Benjamin nevertheless gingerly straightened, helping the Lieutenant stand. "Doctor, I think we'd better use the transporters to get her to sickbay."

She looked kind of frightened at the mention of transporters,"N...no...not if i can help it, sir."She stumbled a bit more. It WOULD be necessary to transport her because something was up with her right leg as well. They REALLY did a number to this pregnant lieutenant.

"Commander, I wouldn't reccoment Transport" Chihiro said. Her tricorder had picked up her baby and since she didn't yet know what it was or its status a tranport could be dangerous. =A= Ogino to Medical, get down here on the double bring a stretcher and hover bed =A= Chihiro called over the comm.

"Its going to be ok lieutenant" Chihiro said looking in her med kit for a hypospray to surpress the pain.

She clung to the commander as her legs both gave way out from underneath her,"How bad....how bad is it doc?"She whispers as she fought to remain conscious,"Some welcome, huh? I get here and nothing is holding me up anymore"

"Don't worry Lieutenant, you'll be fine," Benjamin said, trying to reassure her as the medical team materialised in the shuttlebay, equipment and all. After he helped the medics carefully lay the officer down on the stretcher, he had to turn away and cough roughly before turning back to the doctor. "Get her fixed up, Doctor. Notify me as soon as she's stable."

She groaned a bit as she got laid down. This hurt a bit more than just standing there. She lets out a sharp breath as they moved her right leg onto the stretcher,"What...are they doing here, Commander?" She was doing her best to stay awake and the only way she knew how to do that was to talk,even though she shouldn't.

"They're going to take you to sickbay," Byrne responded, assuming she was talking about the medics. Turning back to Chihiro, he told the doctor to take care of the Lieutenant, and then headed across the bay to the turbolift. They still had the Obrinkahn ship to deal with, and despite what they had done to the Lieutenant, Byrne had promised to mediate talks between the Obrinkahn and the Arktina.
