I assure you that you would not believe how useless I feel sitting on the bridge of that ship. I've been trusted with being the Chief Intelligence Officer aboard one of the eleventh fleet's most advanced vessels and I'm sitting around with nothing to do but sweep up the Intelligence Centre.

I suppose, to put it in context, I'm no more or less use than most of the senior staff in this situation. That's with the notable exception of Ensign Jenarian, of course who I would imagine is in her element in this situation. We find ourselves in either a different part of the Galaxy or just a completely different Galaxy altogether, the results are still to come in. One thing's for sure, I know nothing about what's going on.

We've been having tactical and scientific sensor reports coming into the Intelligence Centre but it's hard to build up an intelligence report on two races that we know basically hee-haw about besides the fact that they're very likely to launch an attack fleet against us if we look at them the wrong way.

I've already had Petty Officer Ravvik bothering me, trying to get me to let him attempt an infiltration on one of the vessels in order for him to steal some critical tactical information. I mean, I say critical. According to a paranoid Romulan with a penchant for getting himself into uncomfortable situations it was critical. I told him that even if we had the information and he got away, it wouldn't do us any good in trying to convince the Metron Consortium to let us go back to our space... if they're even monitoring us.

I suppose the point of this entire personal log is that I don't like this. I don't like having to sit here and submit reports to my commanding officer which basically says; "nope, I've no idea either." It's not right and I refuse to put up with it. I suppose I'd better go and run another multi-spatial scan... for all the good it'll do.
