Pesky Photons

Location: USS Endeavour - Engineering
Timeline: MD22 1535hrs

Benjamin stepped through into Engineering after having spoken to Doctor Ogino in sickbay. He hoped that the photon readings were the result of malfunctioning holoemitters or a holoprogram on the ship, but he needed to be sure.

Tapping the shoulder of one of the Engineers near him, he asked; "Where's Lieutenant Kinu?"

Kai almost jumped out of his skin while trying to take care of system bug that had eluded him for almost two days now.

"Captain, sir!" Kai thought about what the captain had asked for. Kinu had done one of her famous disappearing acts when she didn't want to be found, yet there was someone else, "If you're looking to get something done, might be better to get a hold of Lieutenant Foster instead. I think the Lieutenant might be in a team meeting down by the warp core." Then again he hadn't really come much into contact with her either after all Kinu usually dealt with Kai directly.

"Thanks," Byrne said, before turning to head towards the engineer he had been directing to, wondering just where Lieutenant Kinu was all the time. "Lieutenant," he called as he reached Aurora. "Do you have a minute?"

Aurora nodded, "Alright sir. What can I do for you?"

"Doctor Ogino recorded some odd photonic readings surrounding two of the children onboard," Ben said, neglecting to mention one of them was his son. "I want you to look into the holo systems onboard; I think it has more to do with them malfunctioning than the Metrons trying anything, but I need to make sure."

"I'll get right on it, sir," she responded.

"Good, keep me apprised," Benjamin responded, before glancing around the engineering deck briefly to see if he could spot Lt. Kinu, and turning to leave the large room upon failing to spot the Bajoran.
